Simple Science Episode #01: Powered By Steam
In this premiere episode of Simple Science, Ratticus explores one of nature’s most powerful forces. Naturally occurring and vital to our everyday lives, steam is an often overlooked resource with some surprising capabilities. In Activity One, Ratticus boils water and observes the process. In Activity Two, Ratticus creates super-heated steam and discovers some of it’s intriguing properties!

Ratticus started performing in 1999 as the lead guitarist of the Dixieland Possum Band. After a break of over ten years, Ratticus has returned with a passion for science education and video. Inspired by the words of Jules Verne, Ratticus’ vision for science education is to present complex scientific principles in a clear and simplistic format while preserving the awe and wonder inherent to scientific discovery.
